CONTEXT
The DGEP oversees the IT infrastructure of 13 Swiss educational institutions, representing more than 30,000 students and 200 academic tracks. As part of its digital transformation, the USI launched a workstation modernization program aimed at centralized, high-performance, and secure management for a fleet of over 13,000 Apple devices and PCs.
INTERVENTION
Numendo stepped in as an Apple and Modern Workplace expert to structure and optimize fleet management through the following key actions:
• Architecture & Engineering: Design and management of the Apple workstation architecture (Level 3).
• Tool Deployment: Implementation and administration of Jamf Pro, Protect, School, and Connect.
• Ecosystem Integration: Integration with Apple Business Manager, Apple School Manager, Microsoft Intune, and SCCM.
• Automation: Writing automation scripts in Bash, AppleScript, and XML.
• Support & Maintenance: Level 2 and 3 technical support, incident management, and project tracking.
• Collaboration: Working closely with project managers and school infrastructure teams.
Knowledge Transfer: Comprehensive documentation, skill transfers, and ongoing technology watch.
