Introduction

As part of the structuring of its OPE marketing division in Europe, Yamabiko Europe decided to implement a PIM (Product Information Management) solution to optimize the management and distribution of its product data. After an initial analysis of the available solutions, Quable, the PIM vendor, was selected and recommended Numendo as the integration partner to support the implementation. Justine Delannoy, OPE Marketing & Communication Coordinator, led the project with the support of Numendo’s Product Data team, managed by Fabrice Pierre, Head of the Product Data offering.

Contexte

Yamabiko Europe is a Belgian company belonging to the Yamabiko group, a Japanese multinational listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. A leader in the Japanese and American markets, Yamabiko is gradually strengthening its presence in Europe, Asia, and other regions of the world.

Specialized in the design and manufacture of horticultural, agricultural, and industrial equipment, Yamabiko offers solutions adapted to both professionals and private individuals.

In Europe, Yamabiko Europe focuses its activities on two key sectors:
• Outdoor Power Equipment (OPE), intended for green space maintenance.
• Robotics, with innovative solutions mainly dedicated to the B2B market.
Thanks to its expertise and international development, Yamabiko continues to expand and innovate to meet customer needs around the world.

OPE marketing management in Europe had historically been led from Japan, which created challenges linked to local specificities in terms of cultural differences, communication methods, and consumption habits.
On January 1, 2024, a European OPE marketing division was created to better meet customer expectations and strengthen proximity to the local market. One of this department’s first structuring projects was the implementation of a PIM, in order to centralize product data and optimize information management with a view to improving its distribution.

Challenge

The diversity of data sources and information formats required a solution that could structure this information and make it more easily accessible. The objective was to establish a smoother and more efficient organization based on an intuitive and scalable tool.

The implementation of Quable PIM primarily aimed to centralize and structure all product information within a single space, making it easier to update and distribute both internally and to distributors. One of the key challenges was to improve the consistency and quality of data used for marketing communications and the website, ensuring homogeneous and reliable information. The implementation of Quable PIM also needed to help teams gain autonomy through a flexible solution capable of adapting to the company’s evolving needs. Finally, this initiative was part of a long-term vision, with the ambition of integrating the PIM into a broader digital ecosystem including a DAM and a distributor portal.

Thanks to structured support and a progressive approach, the project was carried out effectively while ensuring smooth and intuitive adoption by the teams.

If anyone is hesitating to start a PIM project, don’t hesitate! It’s not always easy, but it’s a rewarding experience. I really enjoyed leading it and was well supported by Numendo throughout the implementation. Today, the autonomy it provides is a real asset.

results

After six months of work, carried out alongside other projects and in collaboration with Numendo, Quable PIM was implemented and has been in use since January 2025. Its benefits are numerous:
• An intuitive and easy-to-use platform, offering a high level of autonomy.
• Effective centralization of product data.
• Flexibility to add or modify attributes according to needs.
• Simplified communication for the OPE marketing team.
• Progressive opening to distributors in order to collect their feedback and improve the tool.

This project created positive momentum and provided teams with a modern, high-performing, and scalable tool. It makes it possible to structure product information effectively, improve internal collaboration, and calmly prepare for future integration with the website and distributors.

Conclusion

The implementation of Quable PIM with Numendo marks a major step forward for Yamabiko Europe by structuring and centralizing product data management. Thanks to this solution, the company strengthens its marketing efficiency, improves the quality of the information distributed, and prepares the future integration of its digital ecosystem.
