context
The ambition was to build a digital Orange ecosystem capable of hosting multiple mini-apps, streamlining daily user journeys while delivering a centralized experience tailored to each local market.
To achieve this strategic goal, Orange selected the Tencent Cloud Mini Program Platform (TCMPP) technology—derived from the WeChat ecosystem—enabling mini-apps to run directly within Max it while adapting to each country’s language, currency, and product catalog.
intervention
• Mobile-First Design: Designing and developing a mobile-only web app built on Tencent Cloud’s JavaScript framework.
• E-commerce Journeys: Integrating full purchasing flows (devices, internet/mobile plans) and fiber eligibility testing.
• Agile Evolution: Progressively evolving the initial Proof of Concept (POC) into a complete production solution integrating payment gateways and business feature requests from Orange teams.
• Localization: Adapting the solution to regional specifics (language, currency, available offers) to support near-term multi-country rollouts.
results
The solution is currently being deployed across 17 countries, addressing an audience of up to 22 million daily active users. It represents a major step forward toward an enriched, unified customer experience while paving the way for the gradual integration of additional mini-applications.
