On Tuesday 1 October 2019, two talks took place in Paris with the Numendo team. One dealt with BinaryAST, a technical subject, while the other was about experience mapping.

Num’Events, part one: BinaryAST
While the amount of JavaScript code present in our everyday applications keeps growing, the impact on performance and loading time is starting to weigh more and more heavily. During his presentation, Mr David TELLER gave us an advance look at a new format for loading JavaScript. The principle behind this method is fairly easy to understand: ask the JS file to load only the elements it needs in order to start up, so that the page displays more quickly. The rest of the code will only load once that step has been completed. Still being prepared and improved at Firefox, BinaryAST will soon be available to you. An advance that will save your users time and boost your performance!
Num’Events, part two: Experience mapping
In order to see a project through successfully, analysing, asking the right questions, knowing how to listen and understanding the client’s needs and expectations are essential qualities for a web designer. To that end, there is a method that helps them gather information but also coordinate client, web designer and team: experience mapping. Presented in a talk by Ms Faten HABACHI, experience mapping is an effective working method for all those who know how to use it properly. The secrets of good experience mapping are in this video!
