Angular
You almost certainly know it: it is the most popular framework, developed by Google! It was designed to make life easier for developers in medium-sized companies: it allows faster code production, easy testing of the applications developed and, above all, the implementation of two-way data binding. Angular is currently the most widely used framework for single-page applications and has the largest developer community. Be careful, though: the first version of the framework, called AngularJS, is very different from the following versions. The framework is now at version 7; version 8 should be released in spring 2019, so stay alert ๐
React.js
Angular’s direct competitor, known for being developed by Facebook! This framework is considered more as a “free JavaScript library” than a framework. Its aim is to create various components in order to make building web applications easier. It stands out from its competitors thanks to its performance and, above all, thanks to its virtual DOM. React is known for its loading speed: that is why it is used by web giants such as Netflix and Facebook.
Vue.js, the simple framework that is easy to get to grips with
The UI/UX-friendly framework! If there is one detail that sets it apart from its competitors, it is how quickly it can be learned: it is less complex than its competitors and, above all, according to our developers, offers more comfortable code. Vue.js is also known for performing better on Ajax requests and can adapt to all kinds of projects. Mithril.js, the super-light framework
Mithril differs from the first three in its weight. Indeed, this JavaScript framework weighs only 8 kB โ needless to say, that is very, very light! If this framework is light, it is quite simply because it does not require third-party libraries. Have no fear: the essential functions are still there to allow you to develop your own components. Likewise, XHR functions (the Ajax method) and routing are included in the framework’s package, so you have the essentials for developing your SPAs.
