This event is an initiative of the Grand Est Numérique association! For the 6th edition in 2018, we will be treated to topics linked to “Business & Tech”. Between conferences, workshops and a startup village, #GEN looks very promising. Let’s take a detailed look at what it has to offer!
A wide variety of themes
The #GEN association has taken great care to diversify its topics! You will find conferences dedicated to e-commerce, web development and SEO, as well as data, ecology, artificial intelligence and THE topic of the year: the GDPR. There are of course many more themes — around thirty in total.
This set of topics gives us a programme spread over two days with plenty of interesting issues, but above all some major digital personalities. Here are a few conference and workshop topics that caught our attention:
– Introduction to OWASP workshop, or why secure development matters. This workshop will be led by Manuel Dorne, the well-known blogger you probably know under the name Korben. His aim is to teach the key security principles, bust some myths and enable you to carry out a security-oriented review of your own websites.
– The Google workshops: the highlight of the show, the web giant will run three workshops linked to web marketing over the two days. The first on creating a digital project, the second on building a brand, and finally the third dedicated to understanding consumer behaviour.
– Any JavaScript fans among you? A developer from Metz will make the case for building a cross-platform mobile application (Android/iOS) with the Vue.js framework.
This is of course only a small part of the event’s programme; in total, you will find a good forty conferences and workshops.
Some practical information
Interested in the event and want to attend? If, like a good number of our readers, you are based in Paris, you will need to travel to Metz in Lorraine. The event will take place at the Robert Schuman convention centre at 112, rue aux Arènes. This event will be one of the first to be held in this brand-new venue!
It is worth noting that the prices are far more affordable than those of Paris events. You will need to spend around one hundred euros for an all-inclusive two-day pass, and 55 euros for a single day. Book your ticket by clicking here.
